Quotes from members & non-members alike ...

Another part of COPE that helped me grow in my walk with the Lord was the access to many local and international trips, each opening my eyes to see God’s vision for prison ministry… COPE conferences have been instrumental in increasing my faith in God. The learning & growing from great speakers, tears of joy from testimonies & worship, and fellowship, have been the foundational building blocks of my faith… Outside of my church, COPE is at the top of my list of priorities for ministry-- Matt Aitken

There is more that COPE does for us, but perhaps what we appreciate the most is their prayers and spiritual encouragement.
-- Mark & Gloria Chapman, All About Jesus Ministries

It was nice being able to renew relationships with folds that are in similar ministries. We were also blessed to hear a report from a ministry the NEAM helped in its formative stages. Sort of a confirmation that the efforts expended in working with new ministry are not wasted.

COPE Conference Attendees

2016 ECRC "Prepare for Kingdom Legacy"
Being associated with COPE for 15 plus years has been a blessing for me personally and to my ministry leadership learning. Also, I'm always amazed at what God does with the conferences and who He brings. This year some of our special speakers, Pastor Steve Holder whom I've never meet and Chief Mike Davis with Ohio DRC whom I've never meet were so awesome and spoke into the conference attendees lives. Not to take away from all the special conference presenters. And to finish it off the conference with Matt Upton of Speaking of Success speaking into the board member that were they. I've a better man every time I'm with the COPE family. -- Matt Aitken, Sherman and Hemestreet Real Estate, GA

It was a wonderful conference in Buffalo. I was deeply impressed with the caliber and experience of COPE's leadership-- Don Snyder, NY DOC Chaplain

I feel so exited to send this note concerning the two conferences held in Africa this year. I thank God for what COPE has done in Africa more especially here in Benin when they came; they have been a blessing to my life personally and in our ministry. Their coming has blessed us and the nation. -- Pastor Godwin S. Onwe, Secretary COPE Benin

I really enjoy COPE conferences. Everything I know about Prison Ministry, I learned at COPE!  -- Mark Hemenway, New England Prison Ministries

The COPE conference was a great opportunity to meet others with many years of experience in prison ministry. What was really striking was the humility of the people I met - many of whom have done much in service for the Lord. One highlight of the conference was meeting two men from Benin, who by far, had traveled the furthest to get there. We had the opportunity to drive them back to Boston where they got a bus to Washington, DC. We now have an open invite to visit them in Western Africa.  -- Alan Meister, New England Aftercare Ministries

I was encouraged, comforted and exhorted. Encouraged to see other Christians in the recovery/aftercare field who have a passion and resolve to reach out to the lost. Comforted that some of the battles I face, my brothers and sisters in Christ share, namely, sadness over a relapse, solitude over the few Christians in this field, and joy over victories for souls. Exhorted to press on more, do the spiritual work and share with confidence the gospel. It was also a time to get connected with the many resources that are available to the body of Christ.
-- Dave Lang, New England Aftercare Ministries

I participated in the COPE May 2007 Conference in Ghana. It was my first time meeting other Christians who are taking the gospel into prisons around the world. Through my participation in that conference I received some useful books that are helping me to know what prison ministry is all about and how to minister to prisoners. We have a prison ministry here in Liberia and are now organizing COPE in Liberia to bring Christians together and to fellowship in the Lord. Pray for us in this direction. -- Albert K. Ballah, Prisoners for Christ (Liberia)
