CLEARWATER MINISTRIES, INC.

Clearwater was started by Dan Utz as a Christian country band in 1995, after having been part of another prison ministry since 1981. The band toured USA and Canada for over 4 years and eventually the members retired from the band and Dan continued as a music ministry and Dan incorporated as a non-profit ministry continuing to provide music in prisons and correctional facilities. "Hooking" up with Gone Fishing Ministries and John Sullivan, seemed like a natural thing to do and has been a good thing team ministry for the last 12+ years.
Clearwater Ministries Inc provides music for prison events such as concerts, seminars, Sunday services and special events. The vision of Clearwater Ministries is to introduce and include musicians, young and old, to ministry in prisons and correctional facilities to touch the lives of men and women with the gospel and grace of Jesus.

Our purpose is proclaiming Christ and disciplining inmates based on:
  • Biblical Foundation
    1. The authority of Scripture
    2. The Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God
    3. The application of Scripture in all matters of belief and behavior
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.  2 Timothy 3:16 & 17
  • Daily Discipleship
  1. Teach
  2. Mentor
  3. Equip
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19 & 20a
  • Caring Ministry
    1. Honor cultural differences while showing God’s love
    2. Communicate truth in a compassionate way
    3. Submit respectfully to those in authority

RESPONSIBLE PUBLISHING

Responsibility means different things to different people. Our five workbooks are designed to reach different audiences in a personal way. Each of the five workbooks uses the 26 letters of the alphabet to prompt reflection on different aspects of personal responsibility. Interactive in nature, the workbooks allow individual users to select “responsibility words” that reflect their perspectives and life experiences. Easy to use and thought provoking, the workbooks can serve as private journals, as well as platforms for group exercises and discussions. User response and participation is the goal. The workbooks are the first step in building a multifaceted organization designed to promote personal responsibility in decision-making.
  • Prison Inmate Version - Recidivism is a huge national problem. Inmates being released from custody face daunting challenges. This version of the I Am Responsible workbook takes a closer look at some of these challenges and provides an opportunity for inmates to consider personal responsibility as they make decisions. The goal is to give them a chance to stay out of prison and to participate as productive members of society.

ALL ABOUT JESUS MINISTRIES

AAJM is a literature distribution ministry of Mark & Gloria Chapman. Our mission statement is "Helping prison ministries and others introduce prisoners to Jesus." In December of 1980 the former Beatle John Lennon was murdered by Mark Chapman. Mark recommitted his life to Christ in 1982 and later wrote his testimony. He also wrote a short story called "The Prisoner's Letter" about a man who meets Jesus Christ in prison the night before the crucifixion. Our most recent brochure is titled "John Lennon's Killer", based on the transcript of Mark's 2012 parole board hearing. All three evangelistic brochures are free and available for the asking to prison ministries around the world. Contact AAJM for a free sample of each brochure.
